We got a solicitation to become "Founding Members" of Dollywood's new Dreammore Resort opening next week. The membership gives us some preferential treatment, free upgrades, etc. What I found interesting was the size of the accommodations. While some are a two person rooms, most are designed for families of four to six people and there are even some two and three bedroom suites for multi-family groups. While this is billed as a hotel, it's connection to the Dollywood theme park and multi room configurations make it look more like DVC than a Hilton. I wonder if there are plans, somewhere down the road, to work off this list of "founders" to start selling this place as a timeshare.

It is not a timeshare. The Founders Club is just the free email list to garner interest in a new start up hotel. They just send you offers for discounts once in a while and give you updates. The hotel is behind schedule a couple of months and missing the prime summer season, so I would expect a lot of deal offers coming down the pike.

The operator of the hotel is not involved in any timeshare operations. Newer hotels in family vacations areas are all putting in villa type rooms meant for families.
