This would be 3/26-4/2 so it is a holiday week. Just trying to figure out why its so high when other resorts like Vistana are only 60K for the same week.

Resorts that are points resorts are awarded their points as part of a negotiation with RCI. Vistana didn't negotiate particularly hard. A two bedroom at Vacation Village at Parkway is 92,000 points. Points don't mean it is better.
River Island is the most pointed section of Orange Lake. It's nice. I guess it depends how many points you have and how much you value your points.

River Island is a water park within Orange Lake. You can go there even if you are staying in another part of Orange Lake, you may be able to find a unit for less points in west village. There is a shuttle bus that will bring you to River Island.

Thanks for the replies...I went ahead and booked it since it was an OGS and not too many quality matches came about. I'm happy to get this on such short notice. Any tips, tricks, pointers, or suggestions are welcome as this will be our first trip to Orange Lake/

Be sure to wear flip flops or pool shoes, the cement going to the pool is extremely hot. People go early and take the best tables, since you are staying close you should be able to get a good place to sit. They charge for the tubes which does not seem fair its a cashless resort so everything is charged to your room or credit card. If you have any other questions you can PM me. Also, don't let them talk you into a timeshare tour, they offer you everything but waste your time trying to sell you stuff. There are many resales at Orange Lake, don't fall for the sales pitch!
Have Fun,Silentg
