I hope this works for others, From Interval Website I went to the renew membership window and to my surprise under the 3 yr renewal option box for $227.00 there was an option to click on a $128 discount and AC certificate which brought the renewal to 3 yrs for $99. I clicked no thanks to the Gold option

It may be helpful if you list the property/ies that you have registered with in II. This may give us a clue if this discount is for everyone , or just a select few (with high demand weeks/resorts).

I see no such option on mine, so it must be resort specific.

In a few months I am going to try to do my first trade (12 mos. ahead of time) for the first or second week of July 2013. When do I need to join Interval?

Thanks.

For WorldMark, I see 3 years for $227 (savings of $40), and 5 years for $356 (savings of $89). 1 year is at $89, and 2 years at $178, for no savings.

Same prices with a Starwood week.

You must be paid up through the later of the date your exchange is scheduled or the date of the week deposited. Interval memberships are 1 year in duration from the moment you join. So if you were to join now, you would have to pay for at least 2 years of membership given your plans you stated.

I am not sure I understand. Can I wait until I make my reservation to join Interval or do I need to have paid membership before making the reservation?
Also, if I reserve in July 2012 for July 2013 and plan to vacation on an exchange in April or May 2013, will I need a 1 or 2 year membership?

You need to become a member before making the reservation. The membership process used to take months (verification with resort and all that). Now it may take just weeks.

You need to be a member at the time you make the reservation, and on the check-out date of your exchange week.

You also need to be a member as of the date of the week that you deposited. So if your deposited week is July 2013 and your exchange is for April 2013, you must be a member through July 2013. Memberships are only in 12-month increments.

Has anyone gotten this renewal deal through sweet-talking or whatnot? Or is it a simple matter of if the offer is not showing eligible for your account, you are not getting it?

I got a mailer recently offering this. Can't say exactly when it arrived as I've been away a lot this year.
