I have gotten a couple of soliciations to re-subscribe to II. I recall the cost was not the same and figured there are teles out there that do this also and get a cut of what is paid. Well it now really is time to resubscribe and I don't want to overpay. Last time I paid for three years. What should I expect to pay for three years this time? Is it negotiable? A friend once told me everything is negotiable. Well almost everything. Thanks for the reply.

if u truly thing u r going to use II for lon term, see what kind of deal you can get for a 5 yr membership. Or longer term...

I agree with this. They offered 5 years for the price of four. Keep in mind, if you book a 2009 trip, you'll need to renew your membership before you can book an exchange. I was caught off guard - Lock Off Fee, Exchange Fee and then the membership renewal - all adds up

You can try to negotiate but, I.I. really holds most of the cards and they know it. To exchange you can either use them or go with one of the smaller independent exchange companies like SFX or Redweek. It's not much compitition for I.I. and they can live without your account. Essentially, you won't be negotiating from a strong position or have any sort of leverage with Interval.
Sometimes they will offer 2 yrs. for the price of 1 (i.e. 2 yrs. for $84) for owners of certain resorts. I latched on to one of these deals last year as an owner of one of the Starwood properties I own. If you get a good II rep on the phone, they'll look up and see if any of your resorts have such an offer going. If you get a bad rep, they're totally useless. You might also Google II deals and see if anything comes up. Might want to post this thread in the exchange forum - somebody over there might know of such a deal.
