Interval Exchange with mixed EEE points

My interval exchange requests keep getting rejected even though I have enough EEE points in my account. Interval told me Hyatt said there is not enough points but Hyatt confirmed I have enough. Hyatt told me this could be because the EEE points are from 2 different contracts. I do not aware that the EEE points cant be combined. Is this new?

Unless they've made a change, they should be combinable. I've done this many, many times (but it's been probably a year since my last exchange using Hyatt points).

My understanding is that someone from Hyatt confirms the exchange and then the points are deducted.

It's been a while since I've called in, but I believe there is an option to call Hyatt and go to the interval phone tree, where someone that works for HVC should be able to help you out.

Call Hyatt and they should be able to help you out.

Are your two different contracts combined in your Hyatt account? Meaning when you login to your account both contracts are listed together and identically registered?

My Hyatt account gives me a combined number for my total points for both weeks.

I would call Hyatt and do the II exchange over the phone.

Both contracts under the same account. I can see the combined number of my EEE points for both weeks.

Interval said Hyatt rejected the request because of the insufficient EEE points, while Hyatt confirmed I have enough points. I called Interval and have them set up the request for me and it was still cancelled. The last response I got from Hyatt was basically I need to have enough points in one single contract to cover it.

Do you owe anything. Sometimes we pay estimated MFs and owe a very small amount but they won't book unless there is 0 balance

I tried to book something 12 months ago, right before a chunk of points expired, they said no, points were at two different properties so could not be combined. Then I tried again two months later with different points, also from two different properties, and they said fine, we do this all the time.

I did the exchange request right after depositing points to EEE. Sounds like there is a wait period before the points are available to exchange in Interval?

no, I don't think so - I've completed the process over the phone on several trades within about 10 minutes, which included depositing the points into EEE. Call again and talk to a different person.
