Just checking on here because I know sometime different CS reps will tell you different things......

I have a week for 11/17/20 that I booked back before COVID in January. I always get the e-plus but was 100% certain we would be going. Well....here we are and I need to cancel. The agent told me they are giving a replacement week good for a year but I would have to pay a new exchange fee.
The last one I had to cancel ( back in April) they did not make me pay a new exchange fee.
Anyone know ? Thanks!!

There Covid cancellation policy basically ended May 30. You may get some luck getting you out of exchange if that applies or the may give you a slight extension on a weeks expiration but you will likely not get the exchange fee waived.

That is normal II policy for cancellations within 14 days.
So if you cancel greater than 14 days out is it different? I wish the rep would have explained that to me on my initial call. She only said something about the 8 day cut off.

Less than 60 and more than 13, you can see and trade inventory that is within 60 days.

You need to sign in then read the buyers-guide. Cancellation policy is on page 10, but on the page it says page 7.

https://www.intervalworld.com/iimedia/pdf/iw/buyers-guide.pdf . It is listed on paragraph 8c.

15-59 days would have given you 59 days (flex)
over 59 days would have given you unrestricted.
If you call to book you may get a rep that will override the restriction. They will search for you outside of the restriction but if you have another week you can search with yourself and then ask if they could use your restricted week to book the exchange that you want. If the agent won't override you could try calling again to see if you get one that will.

I was able to reserve something greater than 30 days out with one of my other weeks , called II and the rep confirmed it with my replacement week! So it all worked out!

I found that different system were more generous.
I had a Marriott replacement week with $99 fee and a Vistana week with no fee. Both were outside the 60 day window.

I am glad it worked out for you.

I did have to pay a new exchange fee of $209 but at least I did not lose the week!
