I have deposited my 2 bedroom Marriott Canyon Villas week into Interval via a Marriott phone rep and received an Interval Accomodiation Certificate. The same happened when I deposited my KoOlina week. My question--is there any "rule" as to if/when you receive an extra week via the Accomodiation Certificate when depositing? I have never deposited a week online at the Interval website, I have always done it on the phone with a Marriott rep--they have been the ones who got the certificate. Exactly what is the criteria for whether you get this bonus week or not--or do I get it every time I deposit a Marriottt week? I typically will deposit the Canyon Villas week for trading, but would like to get the Certificate if possible. Thanks in advance!

it's up to II

it is entirely up to interval when and who they choose to offer an ac to . some resorts such as the 2 I own have been given ac's every yr since I've owned them but that could change in 2010 .

Out of curiosity how long did it take for the AC to appear in your account??

We deposited our SW week on July 3 and received our AC (in our II account) on July 5. I think they sent me an e-mail witht the AC cert at that time also.

I always call first and ask the rep if my potential deposit will get an AC or not. If it does, then I deposit, if it doesn't, then depending on what they tell me, I might or might not deposit. Sometimes they are only giving AC for a certain time period and if your potential deposit is later than their window it won't get an AC now, but could later. So I call back later to see.

For much more on ACs, how to get one and how to determine if your week qualifies for one, see this link to one of the FAQs for this forum. Other Marriott FAQs are located at the top of the list of topics for this forum.
