My "go back" arrow on IE does not work. What do I need to do? (I know, I am really illiterate.)

You need to go somewhere in order to have something to go back to.
Maybe, you've managed to open a brand new window without knowing.
Maybe you need to reinstall IE. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/downloads/ie

I did have some place to go back to.

Another person suggested rebooting, and it worked. :whoopie:

But before I did that, I tried refreshing. I had been logged into TUG. With the refreshing, it logged me out and I had to sign in again. Previously, when I refreshed I was still signed in. ("Remember me" was checked.) And a favorite site lost its bookmark. And a password ended up on Bing as a search. What gives?

Thanks for helping. :)

Maybe you inadvertently dumped your cookies- (that sounds weird). I don't know how one could do that accidentally, but that would explain losing your automatic log-ins.
