There are several options:

Free wireless for your laptop; only in the bar/lobby area and nearby. Last summer there was talk about expanding it, but I don't know if that has happened yet. I found the wireless at the Tri-Royals to be quite slow, and assume it's similar at the Sands, but ??

Use one of their computers in their computer area off the lobby, with an access card that'll be charged to your weekly bill; I can't remember the cost but something like $12 or $15 for about a half hour(?) and if you buy a card loaded with more minutes, the per-minute charge goes down.

Connect via the phone lines in your villa; again, I can't recall the price but I think it's something like $35 for the week (?). There's also a service called Todito for phone access; some TUGGERS have posted about it so if you search this forum for todito you should find info.

When I was at the Sands last November, I was able to get free wireless access on my laptop while sitting outside on the lounge chairs or at the round tables on the shady side of the Phase I pool. I was also able to log on from the terrace of my unit (Building B, 6th floor).

When we moved to an oceanfront unit for a second week, there was no access from the terrace.

A lot of people sit in one of the couches by the Royal Market and use the internet there.
I was able to access it from my terrace (E5613) also but it was a much weaker signal.
