Yesterday I was contacted by a representative from International Vacation Exchange. She stated that for $1,390 she would post our Killington, Vermont timeshare on their network of over fifty websites and if we do not receive any offers between $10,500 and $13,500 in 6 months they will re-list for another 6 months. She sent me an email with all the details about the company and said she will call tomorrow to follow up.

From all the threads I've read this must be a scam and I have no intention of sending any up-front money to them.

Has anyone heard of this company or had any contact with them?

Thanks

Smart move.

You can post your ad here on TUG for only $15. You'll get a lot more lookers than what this other company will get you.

You may get more lookers, but exactly the same number of offers to pay you between $10.5 and $13.5K.

Timeshares today, unless they are brand-name hotel based (Marriott, Hilton) just don't bring more than a few hundred dollars. Even those top, ocean front, fixed summer week ones will seldom sell for more than $4-5000. Yours would be a late Spring week.

To find the value of yours, sign on to eBay, enter your TS in the search window, click on 'Completed Auctions' down the left side. That will show you what they have actually sold for, not asking price. EDITED: I looked and found exactly no timeshare sales at that resort on eBay. It will be hard to value. Possibly the resort itself would list it for possible resale interest?

We wish you well.

And Welcome to TUG!

Thank you for your advice. We did not expect to get anything for our timeshare and actually are willing to give it away. I think we will have a hard time selling it.
I appreciate your comments.
Thanks
