I was looking at the Inn @ Bay Harbor in Bay Harbor, Michigan. I pulled up the site offered up on II and was a bit confused. I noticed the larger lodge style hotel looking "Inn @ Bay Harbor" that came up as a Marriott Renaissance Golf Resort but the rooms looked timeshare'ish. I also noticed linked to the site were cottages that seemed like they were onsite or near the Inn as well...."Cottages @ Crooked Tree" and the "Lakeside Cottages." What do I get if I try and reserve this location? Has anyone stayed at this place? Any info is helpful....the wife just had some friends of hers tell her about the wonderful time they spent in Michigan (Traverse City, Mackinac, etc..). She would like to go....so here I am looking into it.

thanks for any info...

Inn at Bay Harbor

We stayed there last fall. We booked at Boyne Highlands & they called us and asked if we would mind stayed at the Inn instead. We had one of the lake cottages. They are right next to the Inn and are 3 story. We exchanged a 1 bedroom and ended up with a three bedroom. They have a pit in back of the Inn that we walked to most nights for roasting smores. Very nice, great location and I'd go again anytime. I do not know how they decide where you stay though, but the whole place was really wonderful.
