Hi everyone

Very new to the forum - fairly new to TS - we purchased a two bedroom two bath villa at Westgate Vacation Villa in 2006 and had a HUGE fight with them to get what they showed us. When we went back in 2007 they put us in the oldest part of the resort, no balconey, no washer/dryer etc. Fortunately I had taken pictures of what they showed and had the contract that stated we had purchased at ~least~ what they had showed us as a model and after 8 long months of follow up they switched us to another villa. I'm now wondering if anyone is familiar with the single Letter series at the Westgate VV - I know these are older villas, fairly close to the sales building, the series I'm in P-W. Does anyone have any knowledge on these villas? Are they able to sleep 8? Are they single or two storey? They all have balconeys? I'm truly hoping when we go back we get what we were shown as I don't think I"m up for another fight with them!

Thanks for reading and hopefully you can give me some information. We travel in March.

On another note we have utilized our getaways a bit and feel that's where we are getting our bang for the buck - we can get away for $360 US for one week and have no maintenance fees ($790US for this year!) so getaways are what we are taking advantage of!

Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the group! I do not own at Westgate, but I do know that there have been plenty of discussions here about them and dealing with their high pressure tactics. I'm sure you will get some good answers, but while you are waiting, do a search of the Florida forum for Westgate. There will be plenty of reading to get you started.:)

Had a map but is misplaced at the moment. Older units are located around the main lake/pond. Believe it is called Lake Segal/Seagull. Units originally contained single beds in the second bedroom but have been upgraded to double. Will sleep 8. RCI still states that they sleep 6. Second floor end units have a loft and sleep 10. Six units per building on the first floor and Six on the second. 1 to 6 first, 7 to 12 second floor. Most have three baths but no whirlpool. The nice thing about these units is that they have a grassy area between the unit and the pond. All have balconies. The first floor balcony has a screen door that exits to the grassy area.

The only units that don't have screened porches are the older one bedroom units. If you have a two bedroom unit you have a porch/balcony.

We have a trade to Westgate Vacation Villas for March and our II confirmation lists our trade to unit D2B, sleeps 6. Does anyone know if that will be the unit we actually get or is it just some fictitious (sp??) unit that they assign everyone to. Any info most welcome. Thanks. Linda
