I just bought a two bedroom SDO and quickly did instant trades for each of the bedrooms in II for the 2011 year. I have designated my 2012 year with Starwood to II and am waiting for them to appear in my II account. My II membership expires in October 2012.

Is the following correct?:

1. If I want to put in an ongoing request for sometime in 2013, I will have to make sure I pay to have my II membership is extended by another year to do that search. Or two years, if it is for a reservation in December 2013.

2. If my ongoing request is for non-Starwood properties (or contains a mix of Starwood and non-Starwood), I will be paying a higher trade fee. Interval would reimburse me for the difference if they filled the request with a Starwood trade (this is me guessing, I couldn't find the answer).

3. If I designate the complete 2 bedroom lockoff for the search, I can still use it for a trade if something appears online. Could someone clarify how I would use only one of the bedrooms as an instant trade, if I saw something good online? Thinking of specifically when a 1 bed unit can be traded for a 2 bed unit.

4. If my ongoing request was for a Starwood property, and I used that request as an instant trade for a non-Starwood property, II would charge me the difference for the increased trading fee (again, me guessing).

Thanks a million.

Yes - the dates of your request must be within the dates of your membership.

2. If my ongoing request is for non-Starwood properties (or contains a mix of Starwood and non-Starwood), I will be paying a higher trade fee. Interval would reimburse me for the difference if they filled the request with a Starwood trade (this is me guessing, I couldn't find the answer).

You pay the highest exchange fee - regardless of which resort you get.

3. If I designate the complete 2 bedroom lockoff for the search, I can still use it for a trade if something appears online. When you go to the II website, you will see your timeshare listed as:
Side A
Side B
2 bdm.

You choose which unit to use for an Instant Online Exchange.

When you do an Instant Online Exchange, your Ongoing Request will be canceled and the exchange fee will be used for the Instant Online Exchange.

4. If my ongoing request was for a Starwood property, and I used that request as an instant trade for a non-Starwood property, II would charge me the difference for the increased trading fee (again, me guessing).

That's correct.

2 bdm.

The other night, when I put in an ongoing request, there was more than that.

Side A
Side B
2 Bedroom
but also, one additional line indicating a ongoing request against the 1bdr unit.

To 'force' my trade to Westin Princeville, I had to select the ongoing request for the trade to go through.

So that's why I wonder if I put a 2 bedroom search in place, and want to do an instant trade what could I pick to achieve that?

Do I grab a 1 bed unit and then Interval automatically cancels the ongoing request?

If you have an Ongoing Request in place using the 2 bdm., and you use one side for an Instant Online Exchange, II will automatically cancel the Ongoing Request, because the 2 bdm. will no longer be available.

If you have an Ongoing Request in place using just one side of the 2 bdm., be sure you use the other side for the Instant Online Exchange, and your Ongoing Request will not (should not) be canceled.

If I make an instant exchange with a 1 bedroom, and they cancel my 2 bedroom request automatically, will I lose any money, or do they apply the exchange fee from that, for the 1bdr trade?

Thanks.

The exchange fee automatically transfers - just like with the trade you just did.

Oh, that's good to know. I thought it may have been specifically because I selected the unit marked with the ongoing request.

Thanks so much.
