Hi Tuggers! Weather is still great here at Barony Beach in Hilton Head. While I do not have an ocean front unit I traded in from another Marriott and am in the ocean front building. Any questions as I am going to the presentation on Monday. Best regards, Funtime - aka Janette

Hi Janette,
I happened to be checking the HHI weather because I recently closed a deal for a week 40 at the Marriott Monarch and I saw the weather was gorgeous this week so I was happy especially since it cost me $152.

My question for you is how is the water temps? We usually go in last week in Aug, but have gone as late as last week in Sept and the water temps were still great. This is 2 weeks past that so wondering if its still warm enough to jump in without too much reservation.
 
Have they started working on the much talked about enhancements to the garden pool?
 
I will inspect and also ask - have not been over their yet nor in the pool or ocean - but the hot tub is warm! Lots of seniors here this week and it just goes to show that there is life in them thar gold memberships!! Funtime
 
Just got back from Barony Beach - the temperature for the third week of October varied with highs from 78 to 82 (with one odd day out that was colder and rainy). The presentation was pleasant but since I do not have points and am beyond the grandfather period it was kept exactly at 90 minutes which was great for me. Of course, salesperson was highly optimistic about the points program - stated that 96 percent of points users were very satisfied according to their survey. When I asked the percentage of points versus weeks owners, he professed not to know that. (SURE!!!).
The activities director stated that the back units were getting a slide in the pool so at least that is what she was told. Funtime

What is the "grandfather period" that you speak of?
