“The Zermatt ski resort in Switzerland became the first European destination on the Ikon Pass, which now offers holders access to 41 global destinations on five continents.

Zermatt's 3,500 acres of terrain spans both Switzerland and Italy, offering the highest skiable terrain in the Alps, including the Matterhorn ski area. Ikon Pass holders will have seven-day access to Zermatt with no blackout dates, and five-day access on the Ikon Base Pass, also with no blackout dates.

The Ikon Pass already offers access to resorts in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The Alterra Mountain Co. launched the Ikon Pass in 2018, competing directly with the Epic Pass offered by Vail Resorts, the largest North American ski resort operator....”
