II Spring Interval World issue

We received it in the mail today and the following items caught my eye:

1. "Short Stay Exchange Just Got Better
You can now make ShortStay Exchanges of one to six nights.
You no loinger pay the same fee for, say, a five-night exchange as you do for a two-night exchange."
To me these seem like minor changes to a still not very useful exchange option.

2. Six examples of Platinum Escapes ranging in price from $57 to $127 for a week. Have any Platinum members gotten such deals?

3. Fourteen Shell Vacations Club resorts listed as "New Member Resorts". Has Shell left RCI?

Yes, as of January 2012 Shell has switched to II. Not a good move in my opinion, but oh well.

IMO; Platinum membership really pays off with discounted getaways ($50 less than standard membership) and free guest certificates; if you are using multiple of these per year the membership should pay for it self...

I have not exchanged into Shell, however, I have seen a number of instant exchanges into Hawaii and Las Vegas, mostly 1 BR's.

I have already exchanged into a Shell Resort through II. It's definitely possible.
