I submitted a pending request with II earlier today . When I logged back in later to check, I went to "My Units" and the week has disappearded. I checked my email account and have not yet received verification that my request has been received.

I am planning to call interval to see whats going on , but I thought I would ask if anyone else has experienced this? It seems whenever I try to do something on the II website, I end up having to make a follow-up phone call to verify... frustrating :annoyed:

If there is an exchange - that's where you will see it.

Thanks Denise,
I guess the reason I didn't see it along with my other pending request under my units was because the exchange was already confirmed. I found it under "History" as you suggested and it is listed as "confirmed" for 11/2- 11/9 .

I have not received an e-mail from II though - ????

I received a 2 bed in exchange for a 1 bed but cant determine the view category. We will probably accept , but may consider declining if the view category is only garden view ( but probably not since view categories arent gauaranteed anyway.)

Any suggestions on how to...
first , verify the view category and
second, possibly upgrade the view in exchange for say a 1 bed rather than a 2 bedroom?

Or should this be done via room request or flexchange.

I don't know how verifying the view works with Marriott - is this a Marriot to Marriott trade?

There is no way that I know of to upgrade to a different view - II generally doesn't get involved in that.

Remember, you only have 24 hours from the time the match was MADE to cancel with no penalty. If you cancel after that, you forfeit your exchange fee.

Thanks again Denise.

During our recent trip to the Surf Club, II was able to tell me the view category on the phone. Even though they made sure to tell me that it was not guaranteed, they were able to tell me that the reservation was for Ocean-side. That allowed me to reserve two additional nights with DC points also with an Ocean-side view category and we were able to stay in the same room under the two different reservations.

We probably won't cancel since we got a 2 bedroom with our 1 bedroom MCV and it doesnt make sense to try for a better view if it is not guaranteed anyway.

But when does the 24 hour clock strat ticking? As I indicated before, we have yet to receive a confirmation email on the exchange. I found on the II site under history that you can ask to resend the confirmation so I will do that.

There is a view code under your unit size.
Something like, ZZAA, TOGA, OCED, etc...
Search TUG marriott forum (advanced search) with that code.
There are bunch of threads about what those codes mean.

Thanks yumdrey. I found the code ZZAD and from several previous posts it looks like this is ocean side = Lighthouse building, which is what we were hoping for.

It started ticking when the match was made - even if you never get a confirmation.
