Think II membership is still of some value when it comes to get some getaway weeks, typically in non-peak season. If I decided to sell all of my timeshare weeks, would II cancel my membership?

Thanks.

Interval will not know that you sold your last timeshare unless you tell them.

Exception: if your Interval account is a corporate account, such as those based on Marriott DC enrollment, VSE mandatory properties, etc.

That would clarify, as I felt they are now more separate entities. Thanks for your help!

Let me ask the question from a different angle in case someone is wondeering ... can you purchase an II or RCI membership without owning (and proving) a timeshare so that you can use the membership to get getaway weeks?

When you actually join RCI or II, you are required to list your affiliated timeshare and the exchange company does verify your membership/ownership at that time. So the answer is no they will not let you join without an eligible timeshare.
