Interesting... just checked inventory for MPB and there are lots of rooms from May thru December. Hmmm, since it is less than 12 months, it seems like there should be a few January weeks by now. How long do you think Marriott holds on to them, waiting for owners (from that season) to make reservations before they deposit some to II?

It could be an issue where a good portion of those weeks got matched up with ongoing requests. January is the platinum season there so not sure how many weeks would just be sitting around on II unmatched either by ongoing searches or folks camping out on II to snag any week that pops up on instant exchange.

Combine the above with owners actually using those weeks, I would find it surprising if you saw anything just sitting there for January unmatched.

May through December is off/should season. Jan through April is peak. Not surprised to see Marriott bulk bank the May through December stuff early. It would probably be a while before they drop any peak stuff. Since they technically have rights to unreserved weeks, they may try to rent them on Marriott.com instead.

According to the TDI weeks #51 and 52 are greater demand than week #1 and they are showing up on II.

Probably because a lot of owners who were going to trade booked those weeks to maximize their trade value, perhaps rather than booking early January weeks.
