I am usually trying to search the instant exchanges on line in interval at this season. I have deposited weeks and on-going search weeks (request search, not deposit yet) I can use for this purpose, My question is: Does it matter which week I use to search in the 59 days check in period? I have one bedroom, studio, or 3 bedroom on-going search in my account, Does it matter which one I use to do the instant exchange? I know each different week has different trading power, but does it when it is in 59 days instant search?

I am not really sure what you mean here. Are your deposits 59 day restricted, or just that you have deposits with ongoing searches against them where the weeks you are looking to exchange into are less than 59 day out? Or perhaps still, you are trying to do new instant searches within 59 days?

The reality is, use the one that you think has the lowest trade power to do the exchange as long as it can see the week you are searching for. THis might be the smallest unit size. Since there are no upgrades inside of Flexchange, using the smallest unit is usually better.

However, if one of your deposits has an ongoing search with it and you book an exchange with that deposit, the ongoing search is cancelled and you may need to adjust your other searches accordingly if you still want what the OGS was looking for.

Yes it matters - trading power is still different even within 59 days. I saw multiple times when a two bedroom could see a week within 59 days, but a studio could not see that same week within 59 days.

I have a deposited week from worldmark, it is a one-bedroom at Reno. then a studio week at Indio. both deposited in II and show up worldmark resort at reno and Indio, waiting for the confirmation if the requested week is matched, according to the requested resort and time I requested. I have other on-going search which is a 3 bedroom worldmark, I can use it to search on-line instantly. The 3 bedroom is not deposited to II, I only pay it when it is confirmed according to the requested resort and time. if it is not confirmed, nothing needs to be done. So does any of these three weeks differs in tradeing power when it is within 59 days flex time?

Yes, they can. Most notably, the studio may not see the same thing the larger units can. Trade power still matters, to a degree, within Flexchange.

What others have said is accurate, trade power does still come into play during flex time, but it is suposed to be relaxed. You could run a simple test on all your units and check which ones may be stronger. At this moment at least there is a Disney Vacation Club studio available during flex, DVC typically has a higher than average trade power requirement. Can you see it with all your units? Grand Luxxe is another resort I use to test trade power too and there are some studios available during flex now.

When I check what my different ACs match in what is basically flexchange, they do not all have the same power.

However, it is more like playing rock, paper, scissors than it is assigning power rankings following extensive testing.

@exyeh

Let us know what resorts/timeframes you're searching for. Are you trying for a ski week?
