Does II still hold a week for 24 hrs?? I am on the new site (which I HATE) looking for a week for my brother- It says "The Unit below is on hold for 18 minutes. You have 18 minutes to complete booking"
18 minutes??????????? I can't even look up the airfare in 18 minutes!!!

You have 18 minutes to complete the online booking. Then, you have 24 hours to cancel and receive a refund.

At least one person has posted that II is very strict about the 24 hour deadline. From what I read, if you book online when II's call center is closed (e.g., 7:00 AM), you have to cancel before the call center closes on the same day. If you wait until the call center opens the following day, you will have exceeded 24 hours and will not be entitled to a refund. This seems harsh -- does anyone know if it's true?

II Hold question

I'm not sure if this is correct or not, but I was told by an II service rep that if you call and book an exchange over the phone that they will hold it for 24 hours BUT if you book an exchange online, it's final. I'm not sure why the difference.

Me too. You can't cancel on line, and you would have less than 24 hours to cancel if you book when the call center is closed (according to reports), but other than those, booking on line is the same as calling in.

I'm Glad To Hear

That you have been able to cancel an exchange booked online. But I swear I was told that you can't. You never know when one of these II reps are correct or when they are misinformed.

I had an II VC tell me I couldn't cancel. When I (politely) asked to speak to a supervisor she put me on hold, then came back and had cancelled it. Not the first time TUGgers know more than RCI or II employees.
