I have traded a studio for a one bedroom master suite at one of my home resorts (Aruba Ocean Club) through II that I'll be giving to friends. I'll also be at the property for this particular week. Only my name is on the II reservation at the moment. Do I have to obtain a guest certificate for my friends under this set of circumstances?
Thanks in advance,
Doug B

No you do not. As long as you will be there to check them in, you won't need the guest certificate. Just have them there so they can swipe their credit card for incidentals. If they will be arriving before you or you will be otherwise unavailable to check them in, then a guest certificate would be a good idea.

I get free guest certificates so I'll echo what Dioxide said in my case. However, if I had to pay for a GC this is a time that I would skip it. If your guests are arriving later, or earlier, than you --call the resort and let them know that. This can easily be done by adding their names to your reservation.

This isn't always sueccessful, as we learned in this thread. Not all properties will add a guests name to an II reservation.
