Curious if anyone knows why this Grand Luxxe is not "rated" in II in anyway. Is it not in line with other Luxxe resorts?

Haven't stayed in a Luxxe Jungle room, but I would presume they are worth it and in line with what you'd expect from Luxxe. According to @Eric B in a separate post, "The Grand Luxxe Jungle 1 BR suites are repurposed from buildings that had been intended to be Mayan Palace or Bliss, so have the same footprint as a 2 BR of those. You can look up the floor plan on the Vidanta website."

ETA: Here's a thread that gives some more info on Luxxe Jungle: https://tugbbs.com/forums/index.php...ar-or-grand-luxxe-jungle-riviera-maya.264328/

The Jungle Luxxe units are nice on a par with the other Grand Luxxe units, but have very little deck area and no plunge pool. They are quite conveniently located for the new Jungala waterpark, though there is a charge for that. IMHO, they are a decent choice for an exchange to Vidanta Riviera Maya since you would already not get into the Beach Club and GL Pool; you would have the choice of going through the sales grinder to get into those of pay the entry for Jungala. They are a bit remote from the rest of the resort, though, so there's either some walking to do or team riding.

We stayed in a GL Jungle 1 BR a few years ago. We are GL 1 BR owners. We were going to Cabo, and found out it was under major reconstruction. We decided late to switch to RM, and the only GL open was the jungle suite. I missed the larger deck and plunge pool, and was frustrated at being as far away from everything in RM as you can be. We were in a, what I thought, new building. I think it was one of the first weeks it was open. The room was very nice. We had access to all the GL pools etc.. They hadn’t worked out a tram schedule yet, so we either waited for 20 minutes for a tram or we walked, and walked, and walked. We don’t have a lot of interest in the water park, so I don’t think we will be doing the jungle suite again.
One thing I would check. See if you can get into the water park from the jungle suite area? If you can’t, and have to go all the way out through the main entrance, and then re-admit into the water park, well that would be fairly time consuming.

There is supposed to be an entrance to Jungala from the Jungle Luxxe area; haven’t been there since it opened ourselves, though. @MoPops got access to the GL pools with his own ownership, I believe not through an exchange.

Correct, I’m sure it would, or might be less expensive to try and trade in, but for this once a year trip, we always plan out a year in advance, and use our ownership week. I should have made that clear.
Thx
