I just checked some exchange possibilities through II. Got to the page showing "available" exchanges but when I checked certain locations, ie "California Southern Coast" the next page requested I either make a "request" or "direct deposit". Why would the location be listed but not available? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Two possibilities. One: a glitchy search (happens a lot with II). If this is the problem, try the same search again. Two: you have more people than the available unit(s) sleep. Could happen in some areas with as few as four people.

That happens quite often when you search for all availabilities. Try to verify the results by modifying the dates or offering a different week for the same exchange ( if you have any). Another method that sometimes helps to get better results is to search for a specific resort rather than for all availabilities. I know its time consuming to search for individual resorts but I use it only to verify the findings.

Sometimes if you go to the drop down menu in the middle of the "no availability" page and click the destination again, it will pull up the weeks available. Also, try searching with a different number of people - if i change from 2 to 4, often it will then pull up that destination.

This happens to me all the time! Just glitchy!

Yowza!

Thanks so much for your input. I took your suggestions (changed from 6 occupants to 4) and landed a 2 bedroom lock-off at Marriott's Grand Chateau for spring break! With the 6 occupants it kept going to Deposit or Request. Just changed it up a bit and yowza! Thanks again. Gabe
