II exchange question

Hi, I have a question regarding exchange at II:

I own 1 week of Marriott DSV II, 2 br red season and have reserved a week for Feb, 2021. I am considering deposit it to II. My target resort is Marriott Mountainside at Utah for a ski week in February 2021 for a 1 bedroom unit. I know it is going to be very hard for this exchange.

I can deposit my week of DSV II 2 br to request an on-going search of Mountainside 1 or 2 bedroom for that time frame.

Or I can split my DSV II unit to a 1 bedroom and a studio for 2 weeks and deposit those to II for OGS after I pay the split and exchange fee. Should it get a hit and I am happy to pay upgrade fees, too.

Giving every other things equal, would I keep the 2 br DSV II deposit has a better chance to get this exchange? Or the split of 1 bedroom and studio have the same chances to get the exchange after I am willing to pay the upgrade fees?

If I can get some ideas, I appreciate it very much!!

p.s. I know that January or late March would be an easier exchange, but I have to get February or the early/middle of March. I know that I need to deposit it as early as possible, too. Thank you for the advice.

Split for sure. 1BR trades as 2BR all the time.

Try to widen your search to include all weeks that you can take. It helps a lot.

Also you may include the other Marriott resort in Park city just in case. You can always reject the offer.

I would split it also.

I would split them. II will match the 1BR first in any search you have, so I would only put that in the OGS. I'm not sure that the studio will match given both are high seasons. Studio could get you a 1BR though. IMO, I'd save the studio for something easy to get and just go with the 1BR for 2BR strategy

I would split. You might want to put in the same request for both deposits and pay for ePlus if it's a paid non corporate account. But this depends on how you'd use the studio with II if it didn't match for this exchange.
