Hi all,

When I made my first exchange, I deposited all my 08 points to II into 4 weeks. My first exchange was confirmed immediately. I received two emails almost at the same time.

Last night, I made my second exchange. Now it shows "pending confirmation" in my II account. I called II and found out that they are waiting for confirmation from fairfield. I asked about the three weeks I should have in my account. I was told they have no way of seeing it. So I called Wyndham. The VC found my deposit history and told me II should already have these weeks and I should call II.

Should I just wait for the week to confirm? How long should I wait?

Many thanks for your help,

Jane

Call Wyndham and ask them to call II

I don't have experience with depositing weeks, but when I exchanged with II using request first, my request was pending for a few weeks. I finally called Wyndham. They had to call II and tell them that the requisite points had been deposited.

I think that Wyndham has to pick a week at one of their II affiliated resorts and deposit it when you deposit your week in II, but I am not sure about this. Maybe someone else could add more info.

Mine was confirmed after a few days. I noticed that we I use a week that I initiated before, the exchange gets confirmed almost immediately.

Just wait a few days, it will get confirmed. I have used II a bunch, and it depends on how you make the reservation. If you call up Wyndham, make your deposits, and then go online to make the II exchange, it will take a few days to get confirmed. If you call Wyndham, tell them you want to make a deposit or use a deposit, and they transfer you to II, it normally confirms immediately. It does drive me crazy continueing to check for confirmation, but they have always come thru.

I am a fairly new FSP/II owner. I was advised by others on this board and the Wyndham owners group that after I deposit my points in II, to call them and put in a 'difficult' request (think Westin St John Christmas week) 2 years out paying the exchange fee upfront. This way your deposits will all show as 'pending request' on your II screen and you can 'see' them and search with them in real time. That way, if you see something you want, you can confirm it immediately.Obviously you can also put in a 'real' ongoing search but this will also work if you have nothing specific in mind, just want to 'see' your actual deposit. I have found that a real deposit sees more then searching with a 'generic' deposit.

That is very interesting. I do have a pending request and only noticed the immediate confirmation aspect. Did not pay attention to what it sees. Thanks for the tip.

Recently, I had to cancel one of the immediate confirmed exchange. The VC told me she cancelled the exchange and put the request back to pending. Next day, it was confirmed again. I had to call again. Then I noticed in my pending request, the cancelled exchange was added as one of the request. That was probably why it matched again.
