Is the Interval International designation of a Premier Resort about the same standard as Marriott? Or is it something different? Does RCI Gold Crown meet the same standard as Marriott?

After reading some of the reviews and ratings on TUG it seems that these non-Marriott designations are not an assureance of the same standard of Marriott quality. I have reserved two Premier Resort weeks at different non-MVCI ts but don't know what to expect. Is there another guideline to use?

Not always. Usually, the Premiere and Gold Crown resorts are nice, but IMHO few meet the same standard as Marriott. I check the TUG reviews and the reviews at tripadvisor.com to try to get a feel for the resort.

Some premier resorts will exceed the typical Marriott, some will be similar and some will be of lessor quality. It really depends on the resort.
