I thought I had changed all my December 2012 requests. I was browsing the Interval website when I noticed that my week was no longer available and a request had been filled. I never received the confirmation notice in my email. I received one two days earlier which I cancelled and proceeded to change my ongoing request. Will they still let me cancel this without penalty?

Thanks.

Do you have proof (printout, etc.) that you changed that request and they confirmed a request by mistake? That would be your first line of defense.

Secondly, if the check-in is not on Fri/Sat/Sun, they were supposed to check with you before confirming.

Thirdly, if the check-in is on F/S/S, they were supposed to send a confirmation.

Don't let them talk you into accepting a replacement week.

Be polite but firm; escalate up the chain of command if you have to. Good luck!

I called this morning and the agent told me that they were offering me another unit and I asked how could that be if I only had one unit for exchange and I was inquiring about another confirmed unit. It was really strange, they said that it was a May request which I had thought I had already unrequested. The confirmation email for the Kauai unit was sent to a different email address when I normally get my email through my gmail. After we straightened it out, she changed my requests and then I changed some dates in the afternoon. I just checked and now all my July requests are deleted. Some strange things are happening. How can they confirm me for two resorts when I only deposited one week? I have a one bdrm deposited, so it's not a lockoff.

What did they say when you asked that question? Did the May request use a different deposit?
