Does anyone know why when trying to exchange thru II, Tahiti Village only shows up with Monday or Tuesday check-ins. II's resort website says MTWThFSaSu? I know they usually default to a Thursday when you exchange but wondering if these are actually the only check-ins they have.

Most resorts have their own check in days for full week stays. Some are th,fr,sat, sun. Some are sat, sun. Some are sat only or sun only. It is up to the resort, not II, to set their preference. I have not ever been to a resort with Monday, Tuesday check in. Tahiti village is several miles from the strip and rather dated. The Monarch resort is very close by if you are going to be away from the strip and much nicer. Awesome pool. Often available because it is not on or near the strip. No free internet, but the public library is across the street and does have free internet.

It's been over a year since I stayed at Tahiti Village but I had a Sunday check in from an II Getaway. I thought Tahiti Village was very good value for what I paid, my unit did not seem dated. I liked the sauna shower in the 1BR units. They did have a big flat screen TV in the bedroom instead of the living room which was a little strange and wireless Internet was extra ($30/week). Although it is not within walking distance to the strip they have a very good shuttle service that will take you back and forth, it runs every 30 minutes. The shuttle also does a morning grocery store run for those without a car.

We will be renting a van for other sightseeing options, but will have 3 young adults with us (21, 22, 26). Of course with a newly turned 21 year old, we will be hitting the strip, but we really love to hang out the pools too, so with the lazy river, TVV seems to be a good fit. Rooms look spacious and the grounds have a tropical feel. (Probably wont be getting to an ocean this year, so I at least need a tropical feel :bawl: ).

I'm going to call II and see if these are the only days for check-in or not. Not that big of a deal, but just weird.

Thanks,

lee

Just Booked Tahiti Village, but had to do it over the phone. I had tried for several hours to do an instant exchange, but even after refreshing and logging out and in, it would always come up !THIS UNIT IS NOT AVAILABLE So I had to call and pay the extra money.:annoyed:

Oh well, got a 2 bdrm for my 1 bedroom and the rep said to call her back after Monday to see about a "2 for 1" . Which is what i was hoping to do anyway. :whoopie:
