Regarding the II promo of getting a bonus week if you deposit your week by June 15...... has anyone done this and if so, what kind of trading power does the A/C have? Thanks!

little to none. I get these all the time but never use for my precious vacation time. I may give it to a friend or family member if I find something good.

I received a AC for depositing my 2 bedroom week 8 Quarter House. The good thing is that you can set up an ongoing search. The bad thing is that about anywhere you would want to go is excluded, year round and the trading power is weak. I wouldn't make a decision based upon the AC.

I own 2 weeks and get these every year. I like them because I use one every year for a cheap week in Branson at he end of August, first of Sept when it is still summer but kids are in school so it is shoulder season but still great for boating. The second certificate usually goes unused unless a family member can use it. You can make a request but lots of exclusions. You do get a greater selection than you do with the regular AC that II gives out frequently. I agree, don't deposit just to get the AC but if you are going to deposit anyway, then do it when you get the AC as a bonus.

I've never found any AC week to go where I want at the time I want. Seems to me they generally are the leftovers. Plus it's not free. Even so I almost always look just in case something interesting pops up. So far it hasn't, but I'm not retired so my vacation time is precious and limited.

If you are going to deposit the unit anyway....why not do it in the time frame and get the AC? If you don't use it, there is nothing loss. I would let this be the main reason that I deposit something instead of using it myself.

ACs for deposit are typically good for a year and you can put in an OGS for them which is nice. Will you get a prime resort during a prime time with them. No. But, could you get a nice resort in shoulder or off season, yes. ACs are great for long weekend getaways too!

I have used a few AC’s but many more expire unused because of available vacation time and our inability to vacation last minute. We retire at the end of this year. I hope to use all the AC’s I am given. Where else can you stay for $300 a week? Off season platinum exchanges are also on our list to try.

Mileage varies based on your travel needs and desires.

Good luck!

Is this publicized on II ? I can't see it from my end.

Are you asking about getting an AC for deposit? If so, this isn't anything "special" at the moment. II has always made this offer for various resorts/time periods. Basically, if you have something they really want they let you know if you deposit it with them you can get this type of AC. I normally see it when I look at "my units" there is an indication next to my undeposited weeks. (if I recall correctly it is a present icon). I use to get something in the mail too.
