I have an early Aug. beach week. When is the best time to deposit with II. Do I "need" to deposit 1 year out (meaning NOW for 2009). What effect on my trading power, if any, would there be if I deposit in October or November? thanks, Elaine

Hi Elaine,

I think you would be fine depositing in Oct or Nov. As long as you deposit about six months out or longer, it doesn't seem to have a negative impact on your trade power in II. I usually deposit less than a year in advance, and I have never noticed a decrease in trade power. Those weeks seem to trade exactly the same as the ones that I have deposited a full year in advance.

I've deposited a summer Wisconsin week as late as 4-5 months prior, and it seemed none the worse for wear.

Call and see if they will offer you an AC. If so, it is good from one year from the date you deposit---and that might influence the timing you pick.
