I have an AC that is going to expire the end of Jan, 2006. Do I have to go or can I book something for my brother and his family? I can't go but they could use it for somewhere.

Thanks

You can book for someone else, and get that person a guest certificate. I think the guest certificate fee is $39 or $49. It's possible that the resort won't require one, but that's risky.

roadsister,

Call the resort and ask them if they will accept your guests with out a Guest Certificate (GC). Many resorts do not require a GC and you will save $39 which I consider a ripoff. Most independent exchange companies don't charge a fee for a GC. They just print the guest's names on the confirmation paper.

Make sure you talk to a resort manager and try to get written or e-mail confirmation.

You can order the GC after you get the confirnmation papers so you will have the telephone number to call the resort when you get you confirmatiion papers. If the resort refuses to accept guests with out a GC, then you are stuck with paying the $39 fee.
