Tomorrow morning at 6:43 EDT, we will experience the second full moon in one calendar month. Officially a 'Blue Moon'. It won't happen again until January of 2018. Relish the moment. :) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/how-to-see-this-fridays-rare-blue-moon_55ba4fcae4b095423d0e13de?

Kind of cool seeing the full moon after the outdoor concert last night. Even though it wasn't "technically" full at 11 PM Thursday, nor blue, it was big enough. I suppose if I had another adult beverage, it might have turned blue.;)

Cheers

I missed it, though I was up at that hour. Guess I'll have a long wait for the next one!

Interesting to read that there are actually two definitions of a blue moon. The one that occurred on the 31st is the newer definition, two full moons in the same calendar month. The older definition is the third full moon in a season with four full moons. In both cases the moon appears that same as any other full moon.
