Just buy some clippers and give yourself a buzz cut.

Let's see some pictures of how bad people need haircuts. I'm willing to go a couple more months if it takes that long to be safe.

I couldn't stand it any longer- and the dog had been groomed. I was envious, so I smoothed the shaggies around my ears while I shaped up the facial fur. Pretty much good to go now for a while. DW has offered, but I've seen photos of her kids when she trimmed theirs. Not ready for that just yet.

I am looking forward to getting my hair done when hairdressers are allowed to re-open. Also eagerly awaiting getting my dogs groomed. We gave them baths last weekend again but they are very matted. We had trouble de-matting them.

Dog groomers are one of the businesses that opened up last week in New Mexico. Hair salons will be much later on, I think.

Men- order clippers.
My husband just sheared his own head and my sons, with the #2, and it looks fine/good, albeit short. (I cleaned up the back a bit) In another month, when people will resurface, theirs will be a good length.
He decided he will do their haircuts from now on.

My appointment, back with my longtime hairdresser after trying to go closer to home made me realize not every stylist has a clue as to how handle a bad back at the shampoo bowl, is scheduled tentatively for June 18. I might even try a longer short style since I had to grow it out during the coved shutdown. Can always cut more off if I find I can't handle more hair (and I am notoriously lazy when it comes to styling my own hair).

Brewster Green (two weeks).
Hubby paid his barber (female) double to come to our house and give him a haircut in our back courtyard. Three neighbors (men) heard about it and signed on too. Each wore a mask throughout. After one was finished, the barber sanitized everything and hubby texted the next person to come over (once the last had cleared the premises). It went quite well. I took my dog to be groomed after missing the month before. The door was cracked by the groomer and I just scooted my pup in from outside. Same on the pick-up in reverse. As for me, my color is fading fast and I'm getting a look at just how gray I am. My stylist is in a fairly big room with only one other stylist and their chairs are at opposite ends of the room so not worried about that part. Just don't know when I will go back.

I did mine a few days ago in the "Pictures of TUGgers" thread. Maybe there's one in the avatars thread as well.

Its interesting..here in Portugal the first phase of openings was hairdressers, barbers, manicure as long as they are small shops. I went this week , had my temp taken, wore a mask , one person at a time and was instructed to wash hands before and after. No handbags allowed so brought money in pocket. All the hair scissors, brushes were wrapped for each customer. Then there's a break between next customer and a cleaning of chair, sink, etc is completed.

OMG!!! I LOVE that cartoon!! My hair is now a wreck, I never realized how incredibly fast it grew in length. had it cut around March 10th, and then all the beauty shops closed. I have straight brown hair, and it has grown so long I feel like I look like the end of a broom with brown bristles , or a Cher wanna be!! YIKES!! NOT a look I want for sure! It has lost all its bounce, waves, and just lays in a flat brown mess of hair o_O
Thank you for posting that cartoon , it made my day, now I just have to head to a shopping center and see if I can spot a chair and an offer ;)

Both my husband and I have short hair, and we were starting to look very shaggy. We ordered hair clippers from Amazon. These clippers have comb-like attachments to cut hair at different lengths.
I cut husband‘s hair first, using the longest attachment, and then it was my turn! After several minutes of instruction, LOL, I closed my eyes and he started. I kept checking with my mirror, and to my surprise the hair cut went very well.
We didn’t take too much off the first time. This last time we are more confident and taking off more.
We are both happy with the result. When our salons start opening, I can see myself going in for a proper cut and then having my husband cut my hair just following along.

Nevada finally opened up for phase 1 on Saturday, so I was able to make an appointment and got my hair cut. I think I went about 13 weeks, so I definitely needed it. Just in time for the hot weather. We waited outside until they called us. Had to keep a mask on but take the straps off and just hold it over my mouth and nose. No use of water or dryer, but otherwise just like normal. I’m human again.

Best regards.

Mike
