I'm trying to book flights for December 26th to January 3rd. I want an early flight which is more expensive so that we arrive in Orlando around 4:30 pm. I've been looking on Orbitz & Travelocity. However, I can't figure out if the flight price is good. Am I traveling during peak season? Should I wait for a sale? Confused. I've gotten a really good price to Orlando last May for $285 per person including tax. But I'm not sure if I should expect to see those type of prices or if the time of the year I'm traveling sales are not common?

Help?

Thanks,
Tina

You have definitely selected peak travel dates. You might try flying on Christmas day. Sometimes the holidays are less popular for flights. I would also be more flexible on times. You can't really do a lot anyway with a 4:30 arrival unless you are very energetic.

I concur, flying on Xmas day is better. Returning after Jan 8 also helps, after the school is back. This is one of the busiest holiday

Thanks, I kinda figured it was peak season. The only reason I want 4:30 pm arrival is because the next arrival times are usually around midnight or later. So, I'd prefer the earlier time. I think we'll just have pay a little more to get what we want.

Thanks,
Tina
