When I put in an exchange request a few months ago, I used the tactic of adding Four Seasons 2BR........supposedly "Knowing" that I wouldn't be able to 'pull' that resort.

Well, it pulled it....we are going in late November (wife and myself.....we got a 2BR!!!).

My nephew lives less than a mile away from the Westin........ that's the one I was hoping for.

So, now we'd be about 12 miles away from him, and in what looks like the more remote part of Scottsdale.

I have some hours to cancel.... but I'm mixed about it. The prices for Golf and Restaurants at FS will prohibit us from utilizing those.
It's really "TOO NICE" a place for us.

So, please advise..... keep it, or give it back, and list only weeks at the Westin (that may never come in)

I have nothing to add about the area but what a great exchange! We stayed in a 2BR at Aviara for our 25 anniversary and we still talk about it. Super nice. You deserve "nice"

Consider there is also a daily resort fee for Four Seasons when you exchange in.

That really is a great exchange, give it a go. I haven't seen any Four Seasons Scottsdale inventory in open search for many months, good to know that requests pull it, and that far in advance.

2-beds at the Westin are relatively rare out of low season, so there is no guarantee that you'll get it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Scottsdale Four Seasons, and wouldn't hesitate to book it again. It's a truly lovely resort. The location is a bit out there, so you end up driving more than when you stay at Kierland, but it was nice to "come home" to the resort after a busy day. We ate at the pool and in the hotel, and don't recall that prices were all that bad.

If you're only interested in going to Scottsdale in November and staying at Kierland, I'd probably keep the Four Seasons and add an EPlus. It's very unlikely you'll see a 2BR in November, but you might get a 1BR. Having a Vistana deposit to work with helps with priority. I currently don't see anything at WKV in October or November.

The bulk deposit for Kierland November would have been in December 2024 anything you see now would be throw backs. You can do a search on the sightings board to see if there were any 2BRs

In my own Sightings, I never saw a November 2025 week at WKV. Here is today's update:

There were a few 2 br units in June & July 2025.

At best, you will only get a 1 br at the Westin, and you may not get the large side, unless you see it online and confirm it.
Last year, I saw some 2BR at Westin for Nov 2024....but very few indeed. So, I was hoping it might repeat for 2025.

Up until a few weeks ago, I saw some 1BR with Full Kitchen in Oct/Nov/Dec.....but we were hoping to have other family join us (in the other Bedroom).

Does anyone know what the Bed sizes are?

It is listed as 2BR/sleeps 6, so I suspect a King in each Bedroom...with a sleep sofa?

I would love to hear from folks who have stayed here.

The $50/nt $350/wk Resort fee is something we simply aren't used to (I said this place is TOO NICE for us)....I have 4 hours to cancel.
My wife and I are both "on the fence".......it is very upscale for what we are accustomed to.

But, we are thinking we may never be offered an exchange like this again, it'd be cool to stay in our unit, pretending to be on the show "Rich and Famous"...haha

Four Seasons Scottsdale is actually pretty easy to get if your calendar is wide open.

If you want 2 br, it's either SCT, or Marriott's Canyon Villas MCV. The Kierland WILL NOT have a 2 br show up unless it's during June/July.

I haven't been to SCT, but the 2 br at Aviara was about 1700 sq ft, 2 bedroom 3 bath, 2 balconies.

It’s a great resort, and I'm looking forward to returning one of these days.

Yes, a king bed in each bedroom. My last stay was 10+ years ago but here's a recent YouTube video.

Is this resort associated with the Four Seasons Hotel chain? The Four Seasons in Portugal is not.

The resort looks lovely. I wouldn't mind trying it sometime but the resort fee makes me pause so please report back. I would like to know if it is nicer than the Westin and worth the resort fee. I hope you have a nice stay.

This resort, and the Aviara resort in Carlsbad, are the nicest timeshares anywhere, in my opinion.

Since I won't be at the Westin, I won't be able to compare.

For US, $50/nt, $350/wk is a Significant extra to have to pay for.
Normally, the shock would make me NOT go.

I have had to rethink this several ways. My best justification was my Exchange Fee, Maintenance Fee, and II Membership ADD $350, comes to about $1400.
Again, that's significant for us, about $200/night.

Websites show 1 Bedroom Hotel rooms there are $1k/nt this week, and $700+ the week we are going = $5-7k.

(I'm trying to convince not YOU...... but my MYSELF... haha)

So, you OWN at the Westin Kierland (where I wanted).

BUT, you are giving a HIGH accolade for where I now will be.

Have you been to Four Seasons Scottsdale....please DO TELL....haha

Thanks in advance,
Pat

I hear they give out Hagen Dazs iced cream at the pool in the afternoon. See if you can eat enough of that to justify the fee 🥳 🍨
Sounds like the complementary Mickey Bars on a Disney cruise!
