I hate trying to change search dates on Interval

One of my two searches for February in Palm Springs matched - hooray. Now I have to try to piggyback a second week, if not at the same resort at least in the same area.

After unsuccessfully trying online to get my dates to change, I phoned in. Explained to the guide that my confirmed week is Feb 9 to 16 so I want an ongoing search from Feb 2 to Feb 9 and from Feb 16 to Feb 23, exactly. No problem, she says. When I look at what she's done while on the phone with her, it seems right. It seems I have two sets of the same resorts with different dates. Thank you very much.

When I logged out and logged back in, it had reverted to one set of dates. I've managed to successfully change it to basically the month of February.

Is it worth phoning in again and trying to have them do what I'm asking? Or is their website simply not designed to do ongoing searches with that level of specificity? I'd really like to not have to check twice a day to ensure I haven't been matched with a week with overlapping dates.

And BTW this is the first time I've ever had an ongoing search with Interval match.

I've always had problems with changing dates.
The only thing I've found that seems to work is completely delete the resort entry from the request and then reenter it with the new dates.
If you are just adding dates that don't overlap existing ones that also seems to work. That is don't extend an existing date entry but add another one for that resort that starts from the end of that one to the new end date you want.
Hope this helps.

Dates always revert to Thursday arrival. By calling they put a note on your request stating the required check in date. I think that is somehow supposed to make it that you only get confirmed to that day. I was told that if something went wrong and you get confirmed to another day they will cancel it for you at no charge if the note is on file.
I have never experienced this happening personally

Correct, and the online system will always show the Thursday date, regardless of what specific checkin date you request.

I really despise the date arrangement they have on requests. Right now we have a request that shows "Check-in Date: November, 01 2012 | Check-out Date: November, 08 2012". Sure if we checkin on November 1 we would check out on the 8th, but what if we confirm to Saturday instead of Thursday. Our checkout date would the 10th.

I much prefer how the dates are labeled and work on instant searches with Earliest Travel Date and Latest Travel Date. I know I can put in a Wednesday to Wednesday date and see availability for checkin on the checking days in between. Simple since all exchanges are for a full week. Not sure why the request side has to be so confusing.
