Oregon transportation officials said Interstate 84 just south of Hermiston remains closed in both directions and repairs may take "a week or more."

Really just means a detour through part of Hermiston. At most, a nuisance. Heavy rains coupled with thawing snow in the mountains raises rivers all over the West. We've had a pretty mild Winter. There will be a price to pay in Late Summer when the reservoirs that provide our cheap hydropower are running low on impounded water.
