I received an online ballot today for the BOD in Sedona. Does anyone have any insight into which votes are for prudent management as opposed to rampant spending?

Sedona BOD election is ongoing, ballots went out by email yesterday. 7 candidates for 5 positions.

From what I can see in their bios, Marriott currently controls the HOA with 3 members (Doepke, Trosset, and Winston).

Non-Marriott candidates/owners are:
Armbruster (Incumbent)
Chaki
Knapp
Kadar (Incumbent/President).

Going to cast my votes for the non-owners.

Did you mean to say you will cast your votes for the non-owners (ie Marriott reps)? My guess is you meant to say “non-Marriott” owners.

No insights into your original question, but it seems that Kadar and Ambruster did a good job with getting as much from the city for the road intrusion onto our property as they could. It is difficult, if not impossible, to have owners control the board.

Yes to your clarification. I didn't realize the 3 Marriott employees were also "owners," but on reflection I guess they would have to be.

So yes, I case my votes for

Armbruster (Incumbent)
Chaki
Knapp
Kadar (Incumbent/President).
