Hyatt owners - a HVC Point system for Marriott??

I know this is not the spot where you would typically see a Marriott post, but I thought it might be of interest to some of the Hyatt crowd.

If you want to see a debate (175 posts in 5 days), visit the Marriott Board to read about the possibilty of Marriott going to a points based system. It looks like they are considering making significant changes to their system - some of the changes appear to mirror what already exists in the HVC system. IE: a HRPP guarantee, split weeks, points are points.
