Does anyone know why, in the Hyatt system, in 2009, week 22 (May 30-June 5 or May 31 - June 6) is considered a holiday week?
Memorial Day is May 25.

I called to be waitlisted for a 4-day split in this week, and was told that it was a holiday week, and that no split weeks would be filled until 60 days out.

No it's not. That's my point.
Memorial day is May 25th.
Memorial day weekend is Friday May 22 (week 20), Saturday May 23 (week 20 or 21), Sunday May 24 (week 21), Monday May 25 (week 21).
Week 22 begins either May 30 or May 31.
I can understand week 21 being considered a holiday week. And even perhaps week 20.
But week 22 ?????

I would call Owner Services and NOT GO-HYATT. I had the same response on Week 6 reservations for 2009 where the advisor said it was blacked out because it was a holiday week. I reminded him that Week 7 included Presidents Day, but he didn't budge.
I then called Owner Services and they had the correct answer. They also apologized for the mis-communication and said some of the advisors get confused now and then.

Thanks, I'll do that once my points become available in a couple of weeks. Right now the resort I'm looking at doesn't show any availability at all, either split or full week. But it's still more than 6 months out, so I assume that may change.
