Apparently, Jim doesn't realize that March 1, is less than 3 mos away...

Dear High Sierra Lodge Owners,
I hope this email finds you all doing well. I am reaching out as The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort
Hotel and Spa has just informed us that they have moved up the timeline of their Private
Beach/Lone Eagle renovation.
The renovation will begin in March of 2025, and the private beach and lakeside restaurants will be
closed for renovation in 2025 and 2026.
The beach deed that covers the private Incline Village beaches gives specific access to Parcel
owners. The Board and Management Company will continue to explore access to Lake Tahoe for
our owners.
The Board will provide updates as often as possible via email and the Management Company will
communicate with all owners that have reservations that will be staying starting March 1, 2025. The
Owners Lounge will also be updated to include latest information as we have it.
While we were all looking forward to one more year until the renovations began, rest assured your
Board and Management Company have been and will continue to work on options for our owners
and guests to continue to enjoy all that Incline Village has to offer and will continue our
communications to keep you informed.
Wishing you and yours a happy holiday season.
Jim Novack, Board President

I think what he’s saying is that they expected to have another year, but now have found out the renovations start in March.

There was an earlier thread with lots of info but I guess no harm in start a new one so long as you link to it.

This has been anticipated for a long time. We were lucky that it was delayed (at least those who use the beach) and the last update had anticipated another year (hence the "one more year" phrase). But apparently the clock has run out.

Unfortunately there is zero news from the Board on the long term plan, which is really what we all want to know. Will beach access be permanently gone or is this just temporary due to the renovation? I will ask the staff when I visit the property in January.

The letter mention deeded access with an oblique reference to the "private beaches" which I assume are the 2 incline village beaches that are open to residents and not the Hyatt beach. If that is the case it will be interesting to see how that is handled by IVGID and the Board. Typically Incline homeowners get a set number of beach passes that are tied to individuals and can buy guest passes. I am not sure how that would work when you each timeshare unit has 51 owners. It certainly would be nice if they could agree to provide free guest day passes or at least make them available to owners (during the pandemic IVGID shut down sales of guest passes which really sucked for visitors). In fact a reasonable compromise would be to sell a limited # of day passes for use by Hyatt owners each day.

It seems they were initially expecting renovations to start in 2026.

When we were at Hyatt Sierra Lodge, ONLY deeded owners could get those beach access passes. :(
