Hyatt Club Use Rental?

Hi, any advice on renting my timeshare week that was acquired during Hyatt's Club Use period? I called them and was told this is a no no. So they won't issue a guest certificate or confirm the rental in my (potential) renter's name. And I'm not sure what they'd do when the renter showed up. Does anyone know a way around this? What would you do/say to make a renter confident in the transaction? Thanks for any help.

Maybe the Hyatt no is based upon how you acquired the use. I know of several owners who rent their deeded weeks.

Thanks for the reply. In this case I exchanged my fixed week, within Hyatt at the same resort, for a different week but now find I can't use it. So this is not my deeded week.

So you are renting a week you received via internal Hyatt exchange, and Hyatt is saying that you cannot rent weeks obtained that way, correct? If so, I think you have your answer -- you can't rent out that week. Just like RCI or II members are not allowed to rent out weeks they receive as an exchange.

If you cannot redeposit it into Hyatt, join TUG for $15 and you can list it as a distressed week and possibly exchange with another TUG member for a different week. No cash can change hands. Read the sticky for details.
