Hi (cross-posting from the welk subthread) -

I understand HVC points can accrue one year forward however the accrued points are limited to a 60 day booking window.

For those that have done this, what's been the experience/success rate of using these accrued points?

Thanks.

Not sure about your original statement - here is how it works.

Hyatt points are based on your usage week. If you don't use your week (HRPP/home week), you want to use as many of the points as possible. You can start using points a year ahead with no restriction (CUP). Once you pass your usage week, any remaining points are still good for 6 months (LCUP) but are restricted and can only book within 2 months forward.

As far as being able to use LCUP points, i see inventory within 2 months often but i completely depends on the resort and the demand time of year. The thing to consider is everyone who has restricted points is competing to use those points so it is work for sure.
