I just got matched into Hurricane House on Sanibel for next summer. It looks like there are only 15 units in the whole place but it seems nice with a great location. The unit is 112 so apparently it is upper floor. Any insight is much appreciated.

Thanks

Cant't say anything about that particular place, but will say this:
Anywhere on Sanibel-Captiva, I'd be happy in a hovel.

I stayed there once, and enjoyed it a lot. It was quite awhile ago though.
It was built by the same developer that developed Casa Ybel, Tortuga Beach Club, and Sanibel Cottages on Sanibel, as well as the timeshares at South Sea Plantation on Captiva. (I stay at Sanibel Cottages every year.)

IIRC, the unit layouts are much like Casa Ybel. On the first floor (lower unit) would be the living/dining/kitchen and master bedroom. On the second floor (upper unit) would be the living/dining/kitchen area, and the 2nd bedroom of the lower unit.
On the 3rd floor would be the 2 bedrooms of the upper unit. So both the lower and upper units have two floors.
I know the buildings are somewhat raised, but I can't recall if parking is beneath the units or not. (At Casa Ybel, parking is not beneath the units, but at Sanibel Cottages parking is beneath the units.)

Hurricane House also includes free golf, but I'm not sure about the details of that, ie if the free golf tranfers to the exchanger, etc.

I just came back from a stay in Sanibel Cottages and would agree with Talent, I'd be happy with any exchange into Sanibel or Captiva - but especially one of the HGVC resorts!

I agree with previous posters. The parking for one vehicle is beneath your unit for one vehicle with lot parking for the other. There is an elevator so being on the upper floor is not too much of a problem. My first vacation was at hurricane house and we enjoyed it greatly. Small development which was very quiet. The free golf is included, but you pay a cart fee of $16 if I remember and the course is on the island. Take a lot of balls because there is a lot of water.
