We have been RCI members for several years. Unfortunately, our entire resort on the MS Gulf Coast was recently destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
(Chateau Charmant RCI Resort number 0432)

The governing bord of the resort has advised the it will be rebuilt, but not finished until 2009. We have been advised that we will have to continue to pay a modest maintenance fee while the resort is being rebuilt. I have two questions.

1. We have two weeks that were banked with RCI prior to the hurricane. I assume that we will still be able to use these for an exchange before their respective deadlines?

2. Should we (can we) continue our RCI membership even though we will not have any more weeks to bank until our home resort is rebuilt?

Thank you.

cholmes,

You will have the use of any previously deposited weeks through their expiration dates -- and you still have the option to purchase extensions if you wish. You are also welcome to use your RCI membership as long as you like - depositing is never mandatory.
