We saw some pretty big swells on the west side yesterday. Doesn't look good
For our Captain Andys on Thursday.

We were at Princeville years ago and the forecast was for fifty foot waves!

They ended up only thirty footers--at that very frightening and as almost as loud as my mother in law. :hysterical:

Folks from Wisconsin were walking along the shore line with their Styrofoam boogie boards and they had no idea of the danger they were in. Sometimes those waves get in sync and two become one. Remember, the water that comes in has to go back out and has no problems pulling people to their death.

There is a picture in the lighthouse museum on the north shore of Kauai showing a wave breaking over the top of the one hundred foot lighthouse. I'm not sure what the base elevation of the lighthouse is but that was some super wave. Probably during Iniki.

Come home alive and not in a pine box. Be careful.

First, thanks for sharing that awesome video. Those waves are huge in size. I have never seen anything liked that before. Be safe.

They are running the "Eddy" today, first time since 2009(?). Anyway unless you went yesterday and camped out its very difficult to get to Waimea. We're going to drive up the leeward side and take a look. Waves in front of our place aren't that great but there are a number of photogs setup.
