I went online at HRC today to set up some wait lists. I wanted to peek at the points requirements for the requests I was setting up when I noticed the Universal Points Placemat aka Points Chart is now gone.

Call me paranoid but I find this unsettling. It feels to me like they’re reallocating points in the charts. It feels to me like this is associated with the Welk purchase. It feels like nothing HRC ever does has been in my interests... So I’m waiting for the hammer to drop.

I called in to find out what was up. Rep didn’t know, she will “report the problem”.

Oy vey. This will probably turn out to be nothing and I will be chicken little telling y’all the sky is falling. But I’ve been learned to expect the sky to fall with HRC, what can I say? You heard it here first...

" I noticed the Universal Points Placemat aka Points Chart is now gone."

The optimistic view is that they are just updating the second page from 2017/2018 to current years. This is supported by the resort seasons charts still being available starting on page 50 of the Hyatt Residence Club Owner Guide. When they take that down I will start to worry!

Glad it’s not just me!
You are not alone. However, as Islander7 says, they could just be making things current (like removing the Park City property that never became a part of HRC). Something to keep an eye on though. Thanks for calling it out.

Its way to soon for Welk to be having any impact. Corporations of that size and complexity are SLOW.
