We are approaching alligator mating season in Florida. This is when you hear stories of people encountering them on golf courses and in people's backyard swimming pools. Every year a couple of these gators make a few wrong turns and get themselves in a predicament.

Simple: RUN! An alligator does not have what we have, which is endurance. A 'gator may be able to run fast, but after a few hundred feet, it will give up. If it can't grab its meal right then and there, it won't run after it.

Yeah, true Floridians laugh when anyone mentions the zig-zag myth. It comes from how an alligator isn't very nimble due to its body. But, while an uneducated person zig-zags, the alligator will cut him off literally and figuratively!
