I am seeking advice on how I can rent to someone, I am a Marriott Destinations Points owner.
How to make a reservation in a renter's name?
What liability, if any, do I have regarding the renter's behavior?
What restrictions or limitations, if any, might there be from Marriott?
Any limitation on how often I rent?
Thank you!

Welcome to Tug!

Depending on the season and size of your ownerships you can rent them out right here on Tug in the Tug Marketplace FOR FREE!

Another site I use is Redweek.com

To make a reservation in someone else's name you can call owner service or I believe you can add it online on the My-vacationclub.com website

You can issue a rental agreement stating the liability of the renter in case of damage. There's always a reason for a Rental Agreement for both sides so your rentals won't balk when you send one out. I think Redweek has a sample agreement in their site

As far as Marriott there are no restrictions as long as the party size fits into your room size. There are people who routinely rent out their weeks and DC points. I just rented out my Newport Coast week for 2016 and I'll probably do the same for 2017. I used Redweek.com this time but I have rented my timeshares through Tug as well.

Your liability regarding their behavior should be limited. While you are ultimately responsible for anyone staying in a unit, the resort will take the renters credit card on checkin. Any damage that they may cause to the villa would be charged to their credit card.
